For this 25th edition of Nuit Blanche, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain will exceptionally remain open until midnight. The public is invited to discover or rediscover Exposition Générale and to enjoy an immersive experience through a musical program taking place in its auditorium.

The evening unfolds through the various itineraries and discussions that accompany this year’s theme, exploring Exposition Générale under the banner of love, attention, and relationships with others. Self-guided tours, conversations with the docents present in the galleries, and “Éclair” tours—renamed “Coup de foudre” tours for the occasion—offered every 30 minutes, invite visitors to revisit the works through the lens of connection and attachment, while a workshop open to all offers a time for artistic practice to be enjoyed alone or with friends.

Echoing the theme chosen for this unique evening, the Fondation Cartier continues its dialogue with the architectural and historical legacy of its new building through the Architectural Odyssey project. This project revives the spirit of the iconic 2000s nightclub that once occupied Le Louvre des Antiquaires, designed by Ora Ito as a futuristic environment inspired by science fiction. Designed in collaboration with Matéo Garcia Studio (sound design) and Matière Noire (lighting design), this immersive program takes over the Studio Marie-Claude Beaud, where light and sound structure the space and showcase the architecture.

Studio Marie-Claude Beaud

  • Studio Marie-Claude Beaud, Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain au 2 Place du Palais-Royal

    7 pm - 11.30 pm : Architectual Odyssey

The Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain presents ARCHITECTURAL ODYSSEY, an immersive musical program exploring the interactions between music, architecture, and light, in resonance with the architectural history and the transformation of its new building, entirely redesigned by Jean Nouvel.

In the exhibition

  • Visuel d'exposition La Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain par Jean Nouvel

7 pm - 11 pm : "Coup de foudre" tours

As night falls, the iconic “Éclair” tour format—which offers guided introductions to the exhibition—transforms into “Coup de foudre” tours. Spanning forty years of contemporary art from around the world, these tours offer a gentle yet attentive interpretation of the works. They invite visitors to approach the works differently, in a more intimate, almost suspended relationship, where the gaze becomes slower, more open, and more receptive.

In the Manufacture

  • Grigri et chasse malheur Atelier objet Manufacture 2026

7 pm - 11 pm : Gesture of Love & Objects to Share

Open continuously, this introductory workshop invites everyone to create an object using simple materials, in a free-form approach with no technical prerequisites. Everyone can participate at their own pace, for a short or longer period of time, moving freely through the space.

Palais-Royal

  • Branzi Boeri Animaux dans la ville 2025

    Galerie Valois

The galerie Valois, a former shopping arcade connecting the current Palais-Royal – Musée du Louvre metro station to the historic Grands Magasins du Louvre, is also open until midnight. It hosts an extension of the project, Raymond Hains: A Work Under Construction. From the Grand Louvre to the 3 Cartier, which unfolds across the Place du Palais-Royal.
