In order to guarantee your safety and that of our team, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain has adapted its visiting conditions.

  • To protect your health and those around you, wearing a mask is required everywhere in the exhibition spaces of the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, and is recommended for the garden in case of strong affluence.
  • In case of fever and other symptoms associated with Covid-19, please postpone your visit.
  • The purchased of tickets can now be done online only with the reservation of a specific time slot. Tickets are in the visitor’s name.
  • We are operating with a reduced capacity. Please respect the time slot reserved at the time of booking.
  • A designated route has been put in place to allow visitors to discover the exhibition in a way that allows us to respect social distancing requirements.

Security measures

Following the state of emergency implementation and the strengthening of security measures as part of the Vigipirate plan, we would like to inform you that:

  • Bags will be checked at the entrance.
  • Luggage and bulky objects (suitcases, large backpacks, scooters, bicycles, etc.) are prohibited.
  • Only handbags and small backpacks (A3 size) are permitted.
  • Strollers may not be left in the exhibition spaces unattended.

During these unprecedented times, the purchase of tickets can be done online with the reservation of a specific time slot. Tickets are in the visitor’s name.

Group visits


The Fondation Cartier offers guided group tours up to 15 people, from Wednesday to Friday between 12 pm and 6 pm, and on Tuesday until 8 pm.
