This is an original way of discovering the exhibition’s depth and diversity.

The "Visite insolite" offers a unique vision of the exhibitions and allows visitors to discover them from a precise viewpoint by establishing connections to the history of art and contemporary ideas, or by bringing into play other senses and other ways of discovering the artwork on display experientially.

A Visite insolite on the theme "Ovni"

What if, within the exhibition, certain forms emerged that we couldn't immediately identify? Traditionally associated with science fiction and the idea of extraterrestrial life, the UFO designates that which appears unexpectedly and defies immediate recognition. Within the context of this visit, this concept is not limited to a presence from elsewhere, but extends to everything that subverts our benchmarks and certainties, here and now. Through a remarkably diverse selection of works from the Fondation Cartier — including drawings, sculptures, installations, films, architectures, and sound environments — this itinerary highlights situations of perceptual disorientation: images that disturb understanding, objects whose function becomes uncertain, unstable spaces, and experiences that profoundly alter our perception. Embark on a true visual odyssey, a moment where conventional recognition fails, thereby opening the way for a renewed and enriched form of attention.

This visit was designed by the Fondation Cartier's art ambassadors.
