La visite insolite

The "Visite insolite" offers a unique vision of the exhibitions and allows visitors to discover them from a precise viewpoint by establishing connections to the history of art and contemporary ideas, or by bringing into play other senses and other ways of discovering the artwork on display experientially.

This tour winds through works that take the form of utopian architectural projects, colorful models, small cathedrals, and even dream projects that were never realized. These diverse proposals by artists and architects are key themes of the Fondation Cartier collection and overlap with the architectural gesture of Jean Nouvel, who rehabilitated the Haussmannian building into a veritable exhibition machine.

We invite you to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the tour so that you can leave your personal belongings in the cloakroom located in the basement, if needed.
