Ni rond, ni carré, ni pointu is a simple and subdued exhibit. On a proposal from the Fondation Cartier, Judith Bartolani and Claude Caillol do not respond with an exercise in style applied to the architectural specificities of the Gallery.

Instead, they both invite the visitor to join them in a conversation examining the misunderstandings that, in their eyes, regulate how an artist is inscribed in society today: friendliness is not very certain, the public eye is not very clear. “Ni rond, ni carré, ni pointu” is a reflection on the need for creators to continue thinking, to speak to others. Here, prowess and expertise, aesthetic techniques and manners are forgotten for the benefit of returning to the obscure reality and banality through which they try to find and regain awareness.
