This first personal exhibition of Tatsuo Miyajima in Paris, after taking part in collective exhibitions—Les magiciens de la Terre in 1989 and Azur in 1993—is the occasion to present two works: Running Time (U-CAR), realized in 1993, and Time Go Round, conceived for the Fondation Cartier.

Tatsuo Miyajima’s installations are made up of multiple electronic LEDs, red and green signal lights that appear daily in our lives in the form of digital clocks and watches, and signal lights. Each luminous element of which these installations are made functions as its own speed in the surrounding darkness and displays figures from 1 to 9. Installed in total darkness, the piece invites the visitor on a voyage through boundless space and time.
