Ron Arad is known for his style, which has sometimes been considered aggressive and urban, and for the lyricism of the raw materials he uses – metals, mainly steel – to reinvent powerful archetypal forms. Between harshness and refinement, his work is similar to both sculpture and assembly, and seems to be located on the conflicting border between art and design.

At the Fondation Cartier, the visual artist becomes the set designer of a meeting place for various genres and various audiences. The creators invited during the Nomadic Nights adapt their work to his installation and appropriate the space provided.
