The distinctive feature of Kelvin 40 is the presentation of an object in a cultural setting that was created using high-technology manufacturing techniques. It also exemplifies the unique relationship and mode of collaboration with artists that the Fondation Cartier has always sought to establish.

Kelvin 40 is a one-of-a-kind work created by designer Marc Newson. It is a concept jet, 8 meters in length with an 8-meter wingspan. This project was made possible by the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, who commissioned the piece.
