The Fondation Cartier presents thirteen international architects led by Daniel Libeskind, the initiator of a movement that aims to push the limits of design even further, combining theory and materiality. The works presented in this exhibit do not reduce architecture to the art of building, but rather turn it into a paradigm of our relationship with the world.

Some of the creations are “machines” that make different disciplinary fields work together. Significantly expanding our perception of architecture, these creators, by intensifying the knowledge they bring into play, strive to involve all of the practices related to design. This exhibit reminds us that architecture is an unrivaled means of inquiry and that the “machine” remains a model of interpretation rather than an ideal.
