Olivier Saillard takes over the exhibition spaces for 15 days to tell a story of fashion in motion, through Le Musée Vivant de la Mode: a program of exhibitions, installations, performances and original conferences, imagined and designed especially for the Fondation Cartier, Palais Royal.
Resonating with the Grands Magasins du Louvre where the first “Ready-made Dresses” were born, which foreshadowed the new industry of clothing and ready-to-wear, Olivier Saillard unfolds a history of the statutory, poetic, sensitive and intimate fashion of everyday clothes, mended and scorned by official museums.

Fashion historian Olivier Saillard directed the Marseille Fashion Museum, the programming of the “Fashion” exhibitions at the Museum of Decorative Arts, and the Palais Galliera.
