This journey explores the astonishing perspectives offered by Jean Nouvel’s architecture, set within the historic shell of this 19th-century building.

This journey through time allows us to retrace a part of Paris’s history, the evolution of modern and contemporary architecture, and to grasp the major ideas that drive Jean Nouvel’s work. It also offers the opportunity to explore the theme of architecture as it relates to the collections of the Fondation Cartier, particularly through the artworks presented in the Exposition Générale.

An English tour is organized on the last Sundays of the month.

Due to the Fondation’s doors opening at 11 am, the tour will begin with a delay of a few minutes.
