    Created in November 2022 for the Mondo Reale exhibition at the Triennale Milano, the Voci dal Mondo Reale Nomadic Night is presented in an adapted version here at the Fondation Cartier, Paris. Under the artistic direction of musician and composer Alexis Paul and choreographer Alessandro Sciarroni, traditional folk choirs from the Caucasus mountains to the Atlantic Ocean will perform against the backdrop of the Ron Mueck exhibition, as well as in the Fondation’s garden, with a repertoire of songs exploring love, exile, nature, and resistance. This remarkable evening gives pride of place to the human voice as a unique and ancestral instrument.

    Hans Ulrich Obrist A life in progress

    For the release of his autobiographical book Une vie in progress, the Fondation Cartier and Seuil Editions are pleased to invite the curator, historian, and art critic Hans Ulrich Obrist. Known for his collection of conversations with artists and thinkers from all over the world, he in turn lends himself to an interview with Laure Adler and looks back on his career within the very institution that offered him, at the start of his journey in 1991, his first residency abroad.

    Felfel Festival A Celebration of North African Cultures in France with the Institut du monde arabe

    The Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain and the Institut du monde arabe have come together with Naïma Huber-Yahi to present the Felfel Festival. Over the course of three days, this festival celebrates the dynamism and energy of Franco-North African cultures through a program offering concerts, debates, and screenings, culminating in a large ball on the forecourt of the Institut du monde arabe on July 14.

    They are novelists, authors-composers-performers, directors, and screenwriters, the heirs to a fragmented memory. In their biographical or autobiographical stories, they give voice to their families, North Africans from Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, and France. Enjoy these literary, poetic, and personal talks, while sipping a lemonade, in the garden of the Fondation Cartier.

    Éliane Radigue Retrospective dedicated to the OCCAM OCEAN

    After several collaborations with pioneering electroacoustic composer Éliane Radigue, the Nomadic Nights are pleased to present the very first retrospective devoted to her OCCAMs. Fascinating instrumental pieces, which she refers to as her “sound fantasies”; bespoke compositions are created in collaboration with her performers. This program has been designed with Éliane Radigue and Carol Robinson especially for the Fondation Cartier.
