Avant-premiere of Bêka & Lemoine’s feature film devoted to Bijoy Jain Screening at the CNC (Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée) following an encounter of the filmmakers and Bijoy Jain
For the opening of the exhibition Breath of an Architect by Bijoy Jain / Studio Mumbai, the Fondation Cartier presents a world avant-premiere of Bêka & Lemoine’s latest feature-length film devoted to the architect. In partnership with the CNC (Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée), the film will be screened at the CNC theater, followed by a discussion with the filmmakers and Bijoy Jain himself.

Ustad F. Wasifuddin Dagar & Pandit Mohan Shyam Sharma
The master of Dhrupad, a form of sacred vocal music from Northern India, Ustad F. Wasifuddin Dagar sets up a music salon against the backdrop of the Bijoy Jain / Studio Mumbai exhibition, establishing a resonance with his musicians and the public for an experience that borders on meditation.

Guillaume Aubry Deux ex machina
Artist-researcher Guillaume Aubry continues his research into the aesthetic experience of sunsets by creating a third part to his cycle of performed conferences, this time dedicated to meteorological phenomena, as spectacular as they are ordinary, which he presents to the public via words and (small-scale) pyrotechnics!

With the complicity of the Annette Leday/Keli Company, this Nomadic Night provides the public with an insight into the world of Kathakali, the fascinating theater of emotions from Kerala in Southern India. A dancer and musicians set up stage in the heart of Bijoy Jain’s exhibition, displaying the lines, colors, sounds, and dance movements that underpin the art of Kathakali.

Myriam Gourfink Breath Structure in situ
Guided in her practice by the breath and yoga breathing techniques, choreographer Myriam Gourfink adapts her piece Breath Structure to an in-situ performance, featuring seven dancers and a composer, within the spaces of the exhibition Breath of an Architect by Bijoy Jain / Studio Mumbai. The captivated public can move freely from one room to another, attentively listening to the various breathing rhythms.

Lafawndah & Trustfall Inanna’s songbooks
Surrounded by their artistic community, the enchanting musician and producer Lafawndah and artist Trustfall present Inanna’s songbooks for the first time to the public. This piece is a working version of their future pop-chamber music creation, La Descente d’Inanna (The Descent of Inanna), freely adapted from one of the oldest Mesopotamian myths.

After four beautiful concerts presented in autumn 2023 with pioneering electroacoustic composer Éliane Radigue, the Nomadic Nights are pleased to continue the very first retrospective devoted to her OCCAMs. Fascinating instrumental pieces, which she refers to as her “sound fantasies”; bespoke compositions are created in collaboration with her performers. This program has been designed with Éliane Radigue and Carol Robinson especially for the Fondation Cartier.
