The Temps de la parole invite visitors to take a seat within the Parliament of Ghosts installation, designed as a space for exchange and an agora. These gatherings bring together the artists of the exhibition as well as guest artists in dialogue with Ibrahim Mahama’s practice, art schools, and partner institutions.

The Parliament of Ghosts installation is a space where invisible memories continue to circulate, and where forgotten gestures remain present within bodies and materials. For this activation, Maison Mode Méditerranée has conceived Les Voix du geste, an encounter between contemporary creation and living heritage.

Three creators from the Mediterranean and Africa give voice to the foundation of every artwork: gesture, craftsmanship, and transmission. Through their narratives, words become material, gesture becomes memory, and transmission becomes creation. The Parliament is thus transformed into a living community where heritages are not merely preserved: they continue to be written, to circulate, and to connect generations.

Coming from different territories and cultures, they share the same conviction: gesture is a living heritage. Each carries a creation deeply rooted in the craftsmanship of their region, while giving it a contemporary expression. Fatma Mostafa reinterprets embroidery techniques, Judy Sanderson develops sustainable textile design nourished by her African heritage and international journey, while Cheikh Kébé highlights Senegalese craftsmanship through a contemporary approach.
