Seeing Sounds

Al Nather's productions are characterized by a free and hybrid approach to rap and electronic music. They interweave trap, grime, experimental textures, powerful basslines, melodic fragments, and musical traditions from the Arab world. Through his collaborations, notably with El Rass, Synaptik, Haykal, and DJ Makimakkuk, he develops a recognizable sonic language in which the contemporary experience of Palestine blends with local and global musical references. 

This Seeing Sounds session will thus offer an immersion into the musical landscapes that nourish his practice. Through a selection specially curated for the occasion, Al Nather will share the narratives, circulations, and sonic legacies that permeate his work, while offering a personal interpretation of the history and present of Palestinian and Arab music.
