The Temps de la parole invite visitors to take a seat within the Parliament of Ghosts installation, designed as a space for exchange and an agora. These gatherings bring together the artists of the exhibition as well as guest artists in dialogue with Ibrahim Mahama’s practice, art schools, and partner institutions.   

On the occasion of the exhibition The Harvest Season, Fondation Cartier is partnering with the Beaux-Arts de Paris. A group of students from the school has been invited to engage in a process of exchange and mentorship with Ibrahim Mahama, before conceiving a program of events to take place within the Parliament of Ghosts installation. 

During this gathering, the students activate the installation. They take ownership of this parliament—a true space for reflection and debate—to examine through a unique lens the question of extractivist legacies currently driving research at the Beaux-Arts de Paris. 

This approach reflects the artist’s ongoing way of working with students at his art centers in Tamale, where creation, research, and transmission unfold through collective modes of learning.
