Welcome
Do you have audioguides?
No, we don't have audioguides. Publics can find museum docents in the exhibition rooms. Beyond guided tours, three meeting points are scheduled everyday. Feel free to ask all your questions.
Is there a place for parking (bikes, motorbikes, scooters, skateboards) within the Fondation Cartier premises?
Unfortunately, the Fondation Cartier has no parking facilities. Please bear this in mind when you are preparing for your visit.
I am a member and/or benefit from free admission (−18, recipient of social welfare, etc.). Do I still need to book my ticket?
- Members : Members having a Fondation Cartier Pass provided of a QR code, don't have to book in advance. - Free entry : We recommend all visitors to reserve the time of their visit online.

Can I purchase my ticket on-site?
Yes, however, it is recommended to book your tickets online.
Can I leave my backpack in a locker?
Yes, the Fondation Cartier provides lockers in the basement.
How do I book a guided tour of the exhibit?

The Fondation Cartier offers guided tours of the exhibitions. You can sign up on our ticketing service.
Do you rent out rooms/spaces for private events?
The Fondation Cartier does not have dedicated areas for events or receptions. Organized events that take place in our exhibition spaces and are linked to our programming and are usually organized with specific partnerships.

Do you allow pets?
Animals are not allowed within the Fondation Cartier. Only guide dogs may enter the premises.

If you would like to present your artist’s portfolio, please send it to direction.artistique@fondation.cartier.com.
Access
Is the entire exhibition accessible to handicapped individuals?
Yes, the Fondation Cartier is accessible to individuals with reduced mobility. Elevators are available for your use.
Can I access the bookstore without visiting the exhibition?
Access to the Fondation Cartier bookstore is reserved solely for visitors with an admission ticket.
How do I get to the Fondation Cartier?
To get to the Fondation Cartier:
- By subway: Raspail or Denfert-Rochereau (lines 4 and 6)
- By RER: Denfert-Rochereau (line B)
- By bus: 38, 68, 88, 91
- Vélib’ station and parking reserved for handicapped visitors in front of 2 rue Victor Schœlcher
Do you have parking spaces?
No, but you can easily park your car on the surrounding streets.
Membership
Do you offer annual passes?
Yes, but the Fondation Cartier Pass is getting a makeover, to offer you even more benefits. The Fondation Cartier is putting a pause on all new membership applications. Existing members will keep their benefits.
Garden
Can I access the Fondation Cartier’s garden?
Access to the garden is reserved solely for visitors with an exhibition admission ticket, Tuesdays through Sundays.
An admission ticket allows you to access the exhibitions, the bookstore, the garden, and the refreshment area.
Are picnics allowed in the Fondation Cartier garden?
You may only consume products sold in our refreshment area (open depending on the weather).
Who created the Fondation Cartier garden?
The garden was created by artist Lothar Baumgarten in 1994. To learn more, you can visit the garden’s dedicated website.
Young Visitors
Are the exhibitions accessible to children?
The majority of our exhibitions are accessible to children.
A Young Visitors Guide distributed at the entrance offers a fun tour of the exhibitions, as well as a program of workshops and guided tours for children between 6 and 12 years old.
Prices
How much does an admission ticket cost?
- Regular admission: €11
- Reduced admission: €7 (Students, seniors (65+), unemployed individuals and welfare recipients, “Maison des Artistes” members, partner organization members, Ministry of Culture employees, “Amis des Musées” members
- Free (Children under 13, beneficiaries of minimum social security, Fondation Cartier Pass , Icom card holders, press card holders, disability card holders (+1 accompanying person)
At what age does the senior admission rate start to apply?
The senior discount is given to people 65 years of age and older.
Can I visit the Fondation Cartier for free?
Free admission is granted to the following individuals:
- Children under 13
- Beneficiaires of minimum social security,
- Icom card holders,
- Press card holders
- Disability card holders (+1 accompanying person)
Is admission free for teachers?
For each of our exhibitions, we offer an Open House Day dedicated to the teachers.
Free access with prior booking for visual arts and applied arts teachers.
Otherwise, teachers can also book reduced rate tickets on the Fondation Cartier's online ticketing.
Are there special rates for individuals in the social sector?
Yes, the on-site rate is €7 (upon presentation of supporting documents).
Architectural tours
Can I visit the Fondation Cartier’s upper floors and terrace?
Architectural tours are available one saturday each month at 11am. Book your tour on our online ticketing service.

Covid-19
Are all of the tours currently up and running?
The architectural and garden tours are currently suspended but will be running when the next exhibition opens.
Visits for school groups will resume in September. Groups will be limited to 10 persons maximum.

What is the Fondation Cartier rank in the index of equality between women and men?
In accordance with Law No. 2018-771 of September 5, 2018 for the freedom to choose one's professional future and its implementing decree No. 2019-15 of January 8, 2019, implementing the provisions aimed at eliminating pay gaps between women and men, Cartier et Cie is publishing the details of its Gender Equality Index for the year 2023:
