About the publication

In 2013, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain presented a monographic exhibition devoted to the Australian artist Ron Mueck, following the success of the previous exhibition of his work in 2005.
On this occasion, the Fondation Cartier published a comprehensive reference book, covering the artist’s twenty-year career and presenting all his sculptures through numerous photographs and previously unpublished documents. Readers can explore Ron Mueck’s creative process and get an intimate feel for it through shots of his studio, preparatory drawings, and photographs of models. The book also spotlights the new sculptures created for the show through images from the Fondation Cartier exhibition. Contributions from art critics Robert Storr and Justin Paton shed new light on Ron Mueck’s work while exploring the major themes underlying his art.
