"The breath of an architect", encounter with Bijoy Jain / Studio Mumbai and Taku Satoh
To celebrate the opening of the exhibition Breath of an Architect, the Fondation Cartier brings together Indian architect Bijoy Jain and Japanese artistic director Taku Satoh, longstanding friends, to pursue before a live audience, their conversation begun for the exhibition catalogue, on the theme of “creating to the sound of one’s breath”.
The discussion will be followed by a signing of the exhibition catalogue by Bijoy Jain.

For the opening of the exhibition Breath of an Architect by Bijoy Jain / Studio Mumbai, the Fondation Cartier presents a world avant-premiere of Bêka & Lemoine’s latest feature-length film devoted to the architect. In partnership with the CNC (Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée), the film will be screened at the CNC theater, followed by a discussion with the filmmakers and Bijoy Jain himself.

The Biennale of Sydney, Sydney Opera House and the Fondation Cartier
The Biennale of Sydney, Sydney Opera House and the Fondation Cartier join forces through a creative partnership on commissioning, presenting and promoting First Nations artists from all over the world within the Biennale of Sydney program starting March 2024.
Starting 15 December 2023, the powerful new projection commissioned by the Fondation Cartier will display the works of two celebrated First Nations artists, Gail Mabo, and Nikau Hindin, exploring the ancient practices of celestial navigation. The Fondation Cartier and the Biennale of Sydney support the latest chapter of its free, nightly First Nations sails lighting, Badu Gili, on the Opera House's Bennelong sails.
