From his journeys in the footsteps of his Martinican ancestors, the pianist and composer Christophe Chassol has brought back images and sounds: birdsong, Fort-de-France Carnival festivities, roar of the sea, din of a game of dominos, and more. These different sound elements weave a complex tapestry around an undulating melody to create Big Sun: 27 tracks in a sound odyssey through the Caribbean that has us simply enthralled. For this Nomadic Night, Chassol is adding an original ultrascore to this musical journey, specially created for the exhibition Trees.
