In each of the rooms of the “village,” the Fondation Cartier presents a selection of pieces representative of the various periods of Raymond Hains’s work: abstract photographs, exploded letters, torn posters, writing, giant matches...
In the village’s main house, Raymond Hains presents brand-new work on the Marquis de Bièvre and on the Bièvre valley, the valley in which the Fondation Cartier is located. On the basis of historical facts, his research takes the form of a guide entitled Le Guide ver-vert de la vallée de Bièvre.
