Exhibition overview

The fruit of a collaboration between the Institut Français de la Mode (French Fashion Institute) and the Fondation Cartier, the La Mode : une nouvelle génération exhibit, presented in October 1988, offers a reflection on fashion and design. For this exhibit, six winners were chosen from among one hundred European candidates as part of a competition. The judging panel committed itself to judging the inventiveness of the proposals, placing emphasis on the humor and professionalism of each designer.
