The young Boï, singer, model and certified night owl—known as Boy Fall in the sizzling afro beat trio Nyokô Bokbaë—has created Before for the Nomadic Nights. This intimate concert combines R & B remakes and new tracks.
An undisputed icon with an infectious smile and magnetic gaze, Boï certainly makes her presence felt.
Born into the new generation who openly and uninhibitedly question heritage, identity and gender—she is behind the“identifié·e·s” festival with her collective Chkoun is it? and their sister collective Filles de Blédards)—Boï navigates between fashion and music, using both as a means of expression, and combining influences, styles and languages (English, French and Wolof).
In addition to her critically acclaimed band Nyokô Bokbaë (which “invents the sound of the future” according to French magazine Les Inrockuptibles in 2020), she has also worked on a large number of musical collaborations (Lafawndah, Lala & Ce) and launched her solo career with the release of a first EP expected by the end of the year.
Invited by the Nomadic Nights, Boï has created a tailor-made performance combining all of the backgrounds from which she draws inspiration. With Before, she invites the public into the privacy of her teenage bedroom, as she gets ready for a night out to the beat of a retro musical soundtrack. Accompanied by a handful of musician friends, she covers a selection of R & B and French hits, dear to her heart and performs, for the first time, a number of her own very personal songs about love and relationships. Akin to a musical diary, this event promises to be a night to remember!
