As part of The Centre for the Less Good Idea's residency at the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain.
As part of an activation inviting audiences into The Centre’s working processes, this performance will be a showing of the processes and strategies behind William Kentridge’s The Great YES, The Great NO. Produced by William Kentridge and THE OFFICE performing arts + film, and developed at The Centre for the Less Good Idea, The Great YES, The Great NO centres around a historical escape from France by, among others, the surrealist André Breton, the anthropologist Claude Lévi-Strauss, the Cuban artist Wilfredo Lam, the communist novelist Victor Serge, and the author Anna Seghers. Performers Thulani Chauke, Nhlanhla Mahlangu, Teresa Phuti Mojela, Neo Muyanga, Asanda Hanabe, Tony Miyambo, and Anathi Conjwa will participate in the performance, led by Kentridge.
