Marie Losier, Cassandro the Exotico!

In November 2014, the Nomadic Nights welcomed Cassandro and his Exoticos for an unforgettable match of lucha libre (Mexican wrestling) in the Fondation Cartier’s exhibition spaces. French director Marie Losier was then filming her movie Cassandro the Exotico! which is now completed and selected this year in the ACID program of the Cannes International Film Festival.

After 26 years of spinning dives and flying uppercuts on the ring, Cassandro, the star of the gender-bending cross-dressing Mexican wrestlers known as the Exoticos, is far from retiring. But with dozens of broken bones and metal pins in his body, he must now reinvent himself...

Marie Losier presents us a preview of her movie, before its release on December, 5. A projection on a giant screen with deckchairs and cushions in the Fondation Cartier’s Garden, followed by a DJ set by Tito Gonzalez Garcia and his collection of Chillan vinyl records.
