About the event
Voci dal Mondo Reale is an original performance that traces a line from the Caucasus to the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, with Italy as the central stage. Directed by musician and composer Alexis Paul with choreographer Alessandro Sciarroni – Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale and associate artist of Triennale Milano Teatro –, this unique performance has been commissioned by the Nomadic Nights – the live program of the Fondation Cartier – for the exhibition Mondo Reale, part of the 23rd Triennale Milano International Exhibition Unknown Unknowns. An Introduction to Mysteries. Throughout the Triennale exhibition spaces, folk choirs with a contemporary twist perform traditional songs about love, nature, exile, and resistance.
With: Mariam Kanayan (Armenia), Gorda & Nino Nakeuri (Georgia), Isokratisses (Greece), Júlia Lerner (Hungary), Ficu Fresche (Italy), Cuncordu e Tenore de Orosei (Italy), I Piccoli Cantori delle Colline di Brianza (Italy), Voci dalla Rocca (Italy), Tighri Uzar (Algeria), Sopa de Pedra (Portugal)
