Love and Revenge
Electropop concert and films from the Middle East in the garden of the Fondation Cartier

Concept by: La Mirza (Randa Mirza) and Rayess Bek (Wael Koudaih)
With: Mehdi Haddab (electric oud), Rayess Bek (machines), La Mirza (video), Julien Perraudeau (keyboards)

Love and Revenge celebrates Arab mystique in the last century via its icons. Remixes of old hits by Rayess Bek and film clips by La Mirza against a backdrop of Julien Perraudeau's hypnotic bass lines and Mehdi Haddab's electric oud. It is an ode to women and an era when their manifest freedom did not affect their popularity. The premise of the show is the bizarre series of events sparked by the mysterious death of controversial Syrian singer Asmahan (1912-1944). Love and Revenge is an uninhibited, festive and loving tribute by contemporary artists to the founding fathers and mothers that takes the audience on an exhilarating journey to Egyptian musical comedy and the standards of Arab pop songs from the last century.

Duration: approx. 75 minutes
Standing show.
In the event of rain, the Nomadic Night will be postponed until the next day or canceled.
