Diamanda Galás, Death will come and have your eyes
Diamanda Galás performs a unique concert in France at the Fondation Cartier. Alone at the piano, she interprets standards of jazz, new free jazz, chanson française, with rage and power, as well as performing several original compositions. With a voice that ranges over three and a half octaves, the American singer evokes the pain, exile, tragedy and engagements that are dear to her. Her exceptional vocal control has made the reputation of this icon, avant-garde musician, poet and singer nicknamed “the Diva of the Dispossessed”.
