Tindersticks, The Waiting Room

Nomadic Nights plays hosts to the first Paris concert by Tindersticks to mark the release of their new album in January 2016, The Waiting Room.

Tindersticks’ music has long been associated with cinema and in particular the films of Claire Denis, for whom the group has produced several original soundtracks. The Waiting Room confirms this close connection. For this tenth album, lead singer of the British group Stuart Staples commissioned filmmakers to create short films inspired only by a song title. Screened during their concerts, these films offer a visual and sensitive counterpoint to Tindersticks’ ethereal, dark and melancholic rock.
